Nesstar Limited has an integrated suite of products aimed at facilitating the location and use of socio-economic, and similarly structured, complex data in an "easy to understand" way. The company has close links with the UK Data Archive in the University of Essex and the Norwegian Social Science Data Services in Bergen. The software suite originated in two EU funded development projects, the NESSTAR and FASTER projects. Sharbot.com has worked with the UKDA and NSD for over 8 years on a number of metadata related projects. Nesstar and Sharbot.com have worked together on a multi-million dollar contract for in the public health sector in Canada.

Nesstar Americas Inc., a subsidiary of Sharbot.com Inc., was formed in 2003 through a relationship agreement with Nesstar Ltd. of Colchester, Essex, U.K. to deliver and support the Nesstar suite of products to the North American marketplace.
